Long Live The Leopard Print
A season never goes by without lepard print on the runway. For as long as man has hunted animals we have been wearing leopard. In 1947 Christian Dior was the first designer to introduce fabric printed with leopard spots. Today leopard print has become a classic staple in wardrobes all over the globe.
Designer of the day Mary KatrantzouMary Katrantzou is a thirty year old designer born in Athens and now lives in London. She originally wanted to create interior prints then switched to fashion prints halfway through college. Mary has based her collections on perfume bottles, artisan blown glass, paintings and photography. I love how each piece is modern with a hint of futuristic.
